Agrokor Financial Restructuring Project Receives Prestigious International Award in Cleveland

On 26 September 2019 in Cleveland Fabris Peruško was presented with the Turnaround and Transaction Award (TMA) for the financial restructuring of Agrokor, proclaimed by the industry in the USA to be the most significant international procedure of its kind in the world in the ‘international transaction of the year’ category and one of the world’s 12 most significant international restructuring procedures in 2018.

The TMA award is one of the world's most important industry acknowledgements, as TMA is one of the world's leading non-profit associations assembling experts who participate in restructuring projects worldwide. The award is presented by the Awards Committee that consists of thirteen members representing a cross section of TMA professionals – from legal to accounting and finance professionals and the winners are selected in a rigorous peer-review process of vetting the procedures nominated for the award in several rounds of analysing and valuating the data of the transactions.
TMA Croatia held its Xmas Networking Event

TMA Croatia organised members' meeting and Xmas networking event which took place on Thursday, 19 December.
The formal part of the event consisted of an overview presentation of the TMA Croatia activities in 2019, including the very successful TMA East European Event organised in the spring. At the meeting, Mirna Marovic presented several ideas for the future TMA Croatia activities and events in 2020 and other important information regarding the future work of TMA Croatia.
Many current members and non-members involved in financial and corporate restructurings, turnarounds, corporate renewal as well as insolvency and bankruptcy practitioners gathered at Xmas networking event.
It was great to see so many participants at the champagne reception and that last chance to network in 2019 and discuss the great plans for 2020. Please check the gallery of photos for the event.

TMA Europe Conference
​
This year’s TMA Europe flagship event for the Central & Eastern Europe took place in Zagreb, co-hosted and co-organized by TMA Croatia. The event explored some of the recent turnaround cases from the region, including Agrokor.
Previous events have attracted practitioners, lenders, lawyers, consultants, auctioneers, liquidators, appraisers, investment bankers, equity investors, workout specialists and outsourcing professionals amongst others.
